I have always been an artist and I love the endless possibilities of creating art through the lens of my camera. Whether that art involves shooting landscapes, architecture, or capturing someone’s personality, I enjoy all aspects of photography. My style of portrait photography actually began with my own wedding photographer who loved getting un-posed shots. This candid approach to portraiture captures more of the personality and natural expressions of the people being photographed.

I began drawing at the age of 12, which sparked my interest in art and my appreciation for it has grown ever since. My passion for photography began in the summer of 2000 when my wife and I went to the Grand Canyon. I shot mostly landscapes until 2006 when I did my first engagement session. A few months later I was the second shooter for their wedding. I have also enjoyed taking pictures of my son since he was born in 2003. There are many challenges photographing children since they have a short attention span, but the satisfaction of getting a great shot is worth the patience it takes. My passion for photography was reignited when I received my Pentax K10D digital SLR. I then started studying photography again and learned to shoot in manual mode.

I am currently available to shoot portraits including engagement, wedding, senior portraits, maternity, families and children.
